Privacy Policy
Selah Morning (“Selah Morning,” “we,” “our”) provides a text-message-based prayer and scripture service. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you sign up, we collect:
- Your name (used to address you in prayer messages).
- Your email address (used for account communication and recovery).
- Your mobile phone number (used to deliver text messages and verify enrollment).
- Your time zone and preferred message time.
- If you choose to provide it, your pastor’s contact information for pastoral referral situations.
- The content of messages you send and receive within the service, used to provide context-aware responses and improve the service.
- Payment information, processed by our payment processor and not stored on our servers. We retain only billing metadata such as plan, status, and last four digits of the card.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to deliver the service: send daily prayer texts, respond to your messages, manage your subscription, and contact you about your account. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, train third-party AI models, or market unrelated products to you.
Mobile information sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Service providers
We use third-party service providers to operate the service. These include a text messaging provider (Twilio), a payment processor (Stripe), an infrastructure provider (Cloudflare), and an AI inference provider (Anthropic). Each receives only the minimum information necessary to perform their function, under their own published privacy policies.
Data retention
We retain your account information and message history while your subscription is active and for ninety days after cancellation, after which we delete it. Billing records (transaction metadata, not card details) may be retained for up to seven years to satisfy tax and legal compliance requirements. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected], except where retention is required by law.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us. You can update your preferences (time of send, name on file, pastor contact) at any time through the service.
Children
Selah Morning is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify active subscribers by email or text before the changes take effect.
